Who really cares! The game is not played until Friday, and the best team will win and meet the winner of Wimberley and La Vernia. In my opinion, all the pressure is on Cuero because they are number one!!! Both teams are well coached and will play lights out!!! It would be fun to get a game between the fans!!! Go for 2 could ref!!!

Mingus is just off I-20 in between Ft. Worth and Abilene, very close to the 6 man capital of the world, Gordon and Strawn!!!!

#55, who has been rom'd 5 times now, wanted me to tell the west columbia players that he has the upmost respect for yall and he's looking forward to a long and hard fought game... #55, IMHO, is the classiest person on this team... he always tells his opponents how well they are playing and helps you up after he lays you out... and when he gets laid out, which is almost every play, he'll pat you on the back and say good hit man

as the week goes by, i hear more and more of the cuero players saying how worried they are about this game and most of them think this will be the last game of the season for them:eek: :(

Flourhead
11-10-2004, 06:48 PM
cuero has larvell roy, fabian olguin, ace slone, casey harryman, brad bomba, and matt schumacher... thats a lot of rushing weapons for a team that isnt even supposed to get out of the first round... and then they have jeremy ross, nick taylor, jt rudd, justin wesley, and trey grey as receivers... that means cuero has 6 guys that can run well and 5 guys that can catch well... that equals 11... wow

found some nice stats in the cuero record

Passing: Matt Schumacher 81-132-2 for 1,294 yards and 13 tds

Receiving: Jeremy Ross 29 for 573 yds. (19.75/catch), 7 tds; Nick Taylor 21 for 246 yds. (11.71) 1 td; Tre Gray 9 for 150 yards (16.67) 1 td; JT Rudd 8 for 131 (16.38), 2 tds; Justin Wesley 6 for 56 yards (9.33)

Rushing: Larvell Roy 164 for 1204 yards (7.34) 13 tds; Fabian Olguin 99 for 643 (6.49) 9 tds; Matt Schumacher 59 for 352 (5.97) and i think he has about 4 or 5 tds

so our top receiver is better than yalls... our top two rb's are better (actually 3rd and 4th) than yalls... and our quarterback is just awesome

they didnt have any in the paper... they usually dont put those in the cuero paper... victoria has int's but thats about it... i know jeremy ross and kyle noack both have 3 and tre gray has 1 and ace slone has 1... i think theres more but im not sure

that edna game was exactly what cuero needed to get their confidence soaring and WC needs to forget about the wharton game and realize cuero is for real now.... they will show why they are ranked #1

As far as the game goes, DEFENSE wins games and ultimately championships. You gobbler fans remember that. DEFENSE is what the WC program is built on. All I can do is look at common opponents, and so far wharton is the only common opponent. Of course both of us won the game, but wharton hung 55 on cuero and a whopping 7 on WC. Forget about offense, The best defense that night will win the game and I TAKE WC.

Great game Cuero and good luck the rest of the way. Yall have to win it all so we can say we lost to the best. I personaly was very inpressed. I just wish the first 5 minutes were played like the rest of the game, we wouldve had some drama for your baby mama. We played badly in my estimation and I can only say this because we played a better team altogether on friday. We are damn young, 8 seniors suited up on friday. Get ready for the roughnecks next year. Good luck with Wimberly. Oh yeah I still know our #98 is definetly faster than any one of yalls lineman. But yall won so who gives a isht. Whenever Cuero is ready to talk a little mess about basketball and baseball I'll be waiting. No way yall could beat us in either of those two sports. Its football season though so yall keep on a trucking and stop feeding the lineman.

Ill hafta take you up on that offer come baseball season, Cuero has fielded some average teams in the past, always end up losing to sinton though. Thanks for the support, again, WC good luck with the rest of the years sports!

I'd bet money Cuero could acheive the same results in baseball as last night. Yoakum, La Grange(when in reg. 4), Cuero and Sinton all have stout baseball programs. Play any of those teams in baseball and 3A in reg. 4 might seem just as hard as 4A.:D

gonzales used to be the powerhouse in 3a hoops a few years ago. Sinton always has a team that fairs pretty well along with Aransas Pass and some of those teams. Cuero has alot returning for the hoops this season and looks semi promising. It's been since 93 since Cuero has made the playoffs in basketball though.
