I'd choose Miller over Bud, but I like CJeff's idea better. Give me a case of original Lone Star and I'll be set.

I remember being the poor college student and turning to cheaper beers because of limited funds. There was a convenience store near my apartment that regularly had Keystone Light on special... a six pack of 16 oz'ers for something like $2.50. I could stomach the Keystone... but one time I saw a special for Olympia Gold. I can't remember how much it was but I do remember drinking... no, more like FORCING down three thinking it would start to get easier to drink. It never did. I just couldn't force another one and I gave the rest of the case away. YUK!

You could run for the border and go get a lot of cheap Corona, couldn't you?

When I was going to SHSU, I had a friend from down in the valley. When he would go home, we would pool together a lot of money, send it with him, and he would come back with cases of Corona and Tequilia (WITH the worm). Those Corona bottles were the ugliest things I've ever seen. They must have recycled the bottles in Mexico. I would always pour mine into it's own glass so I wouldn't have to look at the bottle (like that did a lot of good). Anyway, that cheap Corona was MUCH better than the Olympia, Pabst, Shiner, etc.

Years ago, there was a bar in Lubbock called Cold Water. On Wednesday night, they had Crash 'n Burn night. $.25 Lone Star & $.50 blue margaritas - $1 cover. Personally, I try to avoid beer - but hubby drinks Shiner Bock, plus a bunch of really odd beers.
