Brandon Backe? Aside from last night, nobody seemed to remember his season-ending heroics. The kids' been lights-out for the Astros for the last couple of weeks.

He's definitely got a spot on the starting rotation next year.

I wouldn't give him a starting job for next year yet. Several pitchers on the DL that are better. Maybe a trade. Maybe the Rocket comes back. Maybe Backe gets hurt.

though i highly hate baseball Id love to see the astros win it all this year. I also would love to see the yankees LOSE.

Next year your starting rotation could look something like this:

Oswalt
Pettite
Clemens (hopefully)
Backe
Miller

I can't think of anyone else that would be put ahead of Backe.
