Can you post Ingleside's games and scores up to this point please?

It's funny to see all of those 7-0, 6-1, 6-2 records up there and then 4-3 Gainseville. Somebody still believes in Purvey.

I don't want to downplay Ingleside in anyway, but who else on their schedule is any good besides Zapata, whom they lost to. This is an honest question. I have never seen any of these teams. Tell me who is good.

Not including Sinton, who they haven't played yet. I would say that will be a test to see how good Ingleside really is.

Number 3 in what? Recruiting? I know he is good, but I don't know that he is good enough to carry Gainseville on his back.

yes recruiting.. and we'll see.. we now finally have a dual running threat in Hewitt and Purvey.. and be cause purvey has been out he is now healthy again... look for him to make up for this lost time this week against whitesboro

Keith, I have always respected most of what you say on this board, but come on. We both know that being number 3 in recruiting doesn't really mean squat. It's all based on last year's numbers when gainesville had an o-line and about 10 other threats to kill a team. Secondly, who doesn't make up for lost time against the Whitesboro sisters of the poor. No offense Whitesboro posters.

i may be a homer.. but i promise you, if you have ever seen Purvey at full strenght regardless to his line.. he is amazing..

and if he is only good if he has "10 other threats and an o-line" then what happens if he goes to a college with "10 other threats and an o-line"??

once again maybe i'm just a homer.. but i believe anybody who has seen him healthy will back me up.. I have a highlgiht dvd from last season if you would like to see

all of the teams Ingleside has played w/ the exception of Bishop are all fair to pretty decent teams....true..the only REAL good team they played was Zapata (our D was definately flat in that game)...but IHS has steadily gotten better each week and are just as good as any of the teams in the lower top 25 i assure you. you dont have a QB w/ over 1000 yrds rushing AND 1000 yds passing if youre a mediocre team. not to mention the RB who is somewhere near 1000 rushing, and probably half of that rcving...THEN you have the WR corps....we're no joke i assure you. Sinton will NOT stomp Ingleside like they have everyone else in district 30-3A

Here are the 3A regional rankings that made up the top 20. All regional rankings are done by a person who lives there and has seen at least some of the teams. Unless we made a mistake, top 20 order has to go by regional ranking order. (i.e. we can't have Abilene Wylie over Iowa Park if Iowa Park is ranked higher in West Texas than Abilene Wylie). Currently, we have no South Texas writer, so there you go to explain that one.

Please, let me repeat myself. I think Purvey is good. I have seen him in person and on tape. Obviously, he wasn't healthy the one time I saw him in person. I have no doubt he will be good in college as well. I just don't know if the #3 back in the country is deserved at this point. I think he needs to go prove himself again. I also believe he has the ability to do it. I just hope he has the self-motivation skills to do it, because I don't think he will have as many games to do it in this year.

you'll get to see him again in the 2nd round hopefully..

here is his player profile on texasprepxtra.. he has dropped to number 6 since i last checked but that is prolly because of his grades..

Your telling us Falfurrias is GOOD??? I keep up with most 3a teams and Falfurrias is not at the top of the contender list. What is everyone else's strength of schedule like down there???? How good are Goliad, Mathis, Aransas Pass, Sinton?????

I guess that my post came off wrong. I was asking legitimate questions. You gave me the info I was looking for. I promise I wasn't doubting IHS's team. Just wondering why you think they deserve to be ranked. Thanks for answering my question.

In response to what has been said about Ingleside on this thread: I think the Mustangs have improved(especially on D) since the Zapata game. If they played this week the game might be a tossup or Ingleside might take it. Take that to the bank.

After we had finished our 19th spot.. we were debating on who should get the 20th spot. We always check the AP poll to see who got the "other" votes, discuss those teams vs. the next team in each area poll. Port Isabel was talked about, and if they were undefeated, they would have been put in likely, but one loss South Texas teams with no real quality victories (even with long playoff runs) were not what we were looking for. We simply asked the question.. who would win, Gainesville vs. Port Isabel. The winner of that fictional game is #20.
