Who besides me is tired of jaspers excuses? In the last 2 days i've heard it all. And just in case any of you out there want to here them here they are.

1. Patton got hurt
2. They had players suspended ( yeah right )
3. Homecoming got in the way
4. Kirbyville got all the good calls ( THey were playing at Jasper and if you watch the film you can see thats not true in matter of fact Jasper got them all)
5. There starting offensive line was hurt
6. Josh Adams broke his leg ( caused by his own player )
7. Gilder got a concussion
8. The bomb fire poll didn't break
9. They had key players hurt before the game
10. They didn't prepare for Kirbyville
11. THe grass is to green
12. The bulldog wasnt painted right
13. It was to cold
14. It was to dark
15. All the fans left in the 4th quarter
Which is your favorite excuse

Come on those Kirbyville boys played their hearts out and the Jasper boys just didnt come prepared to play.

I think excuses 11 and 12 were key in the loss

Personally i think 11 and 12 contributed to the 42 to 20 loss

Something similar to this happened after the Rice - Navasota game. They were saying that everything went wrong for them and everything went right for us. Well no sh*t, we won.

Who's Josh Adams? Did he really break his leg? Is he okay?

Kirbyville's offense, defense and special teams scored. When you do that, you should win.

Solid game and an impressive win. The tougher part is doing it for the next 9 weeks in a row. Good luck.

From the way I seen it Kirbyville just wanted it more than Jasper. Kirbyville felt disrespected by the district because everyone wants the cats as a homecoming. So the cats took it upon themselves to ruin the Trojans and Dogs homecoming. For any rumors that Gilder and Patton didn't play they're all bogus. Patton got sunt running to the sideline in the second quarter. Gilder I don't know when he left the game but at the end he was in his football pants and a white tee. But as far as Josh Adams he was hurt by, Derrick Bean, his own player because of a scramble for a interception. The cats set the tone early when they recovered a fumble on the first play of the game and the offense drove it in. It was a physical game with a lot of hard licks being thrown around by both teams. Kirbyville control every aspect of the game offense, defense, and special teams. The wildcats didn't miss a field goal, ran back a kickoff, and broke another kickoff for 70 yards +. Jasper is a big play team and if you limit their big plays you limit their scoring which is what the cats did. Jasper only had two chance to take the lead when the score was 6-7 and when it was 20-28 they didn't capitalize so it cost them a 42-20 loss.

all kirbyville has to do is just prove that we can win against silsbee in 2 weeks and then all those jasper excuses can be out the door. and kirbyville will be #1 in the district.

Yeah, you said that in another post, we get it. Thanks.:D And to add, I haven't seen any Jasper posters making excuses, especially the ones listed. Maybe I'm wrong though. Just going on what I have read.

All Kirbyville has to do? All indeed. Silsbee isn't going to roll over for you. They'll be ready.

No I hope they make it far in the playoffs at least far enough for Jasper to get to play them again!!!

Me too. If Jasper didn't consider this a rivalry game before Friday, they do now.

I agree. I think the Bulldogs and most of the Jasper fans think of Kirbyville as a minor speed bump on the way to the playoffs. We now find ourselves in somewhat of a delicate situation probably needing to win at least 2 of the next 3. There is no excuse to go into ANY game with any less focus and determination than we did against WOS.

Jasper had a poor game and Kirbyville finally played like we all thought they could at the beginning of the year. Hope Kirbyville has regained all the confidences that their early season losses cost them, and I hope Jasper takes this as a wake-up call and rebound to finish out the district schedule with better play.
