No love for Cuero? They should be ahead of WOS.

All good teams. Watchout for Canyon out of Region I.

It seems like with every post, we move down the poll.:D

Let me go ahead and say it before someone else does. Gilmer hasn't played anybody. We are 8-0 but most of those were against 6-man teams. :D

Seriously, though, Gilmer is probably not a Top 5 team yet. Just because a team is undefeated doesn't mean there aren't some one- or two-loss teams out there just as good or better.

The Buckeyes have already far exceeded preseason expectations and we are proud of them for that.

I don't know. I think they might be. This team has far exceeded my expectations for this year, and I think they could exceed last year's accomplishments if they can get their heads screwed on. I don't see a reason why this team couldn't do great things.

I know, I know, I've said all season that I want us to hide in the shadows. But, you really can't hide with an 8-0 record coming off a 13-1 season. Good luck Men!! You'll do great things. I know it!

Zapata? They have no business even being up there. Beat the 32-3A representative in Div. 1 on a CONSISTENT basis, and THEN get past Sinton, and MAYBE, just MAYBE we might notice you. Sure Zapata beat La Feria last year. Didn't Zapata go 10-0 a couple of years ago, and then lost to a 6-4 La Feria team in the 1st round?

This has nothing to do with what yall were just talking about but...

All i'm saying....is dont count us out. The post i made early friday about us having the 5 d's Dedication Determination Desire Discipline and Dawgism, i still stand by it. We have what it takes to win a state championship. Yet again not trying to take anything away from the Kirbyville program but, they say that (in HS football) on any given friday night, any team can win, well, there is your friday night. Yet again, not trying to take anything away from the wildcats. And the loss on friday night is only going to add fuel to the fire that is already burning in our hearts.

And btw, i have a friend who went to a paintball tournement in Fairfield. He said he met the Decatur O line...they were a team there...and he said they were huge...like....monster huge....and he gave a comparison to one of our players and said they made him look like a dwarf. Now...my friend has a tendency to exagerate.....id like to know how big the O line from Decatur actually is.

Maybe not in top five but Ingleside should be mentioned as honorable mentioned though. They have the best season record in District 30AAA and lost a tough game to Zapata and are playing much better now. Ingleside has to be the odds on favorite to take the District 30AAA title this year.

Personally, I'm not sure that LH should be ranked in the top 5 yet. That's saying we are better than 177 teams in the state. We're good, but that good? That's a LOT of teams.
