Kirbyville fans predicted this. Looks like they were right. Some Dogs may have some crow to eat! :(

Congrats to Kirbyville. You did it and of course you had a little help from Jasper who gave you 3 easy TD's. We made all the mistakes and you captilized on all of them.We were flat. We had too many injuries going into the game and lost 3 more players tonight. I hope Jordan Patton and DeKindrick Gilder can come back and play next week. The other boy left in an ambulance and later there was a kid who showed up with a cast on his leg, and I think it may have been the kid who left in the ambulance. Anybody out there know anything about the situation?

No excuses, just truth. Jasper played terribly. There were some questionable calls, some missed calls, but mostly, Kirbyville just played hard and Jasper didn't. I hope this opens their eyes!

Congratulations Kirbyville on your victory. Many SE Texas posters have been predicting for months that you were going to be tough this year. Now we know. :( Good luck on the rest of the year. :)

Boy this is just like HS football. Look at the situation, Bridge City walks all over Kirbyville. Then Jasper walks all over Bridge City and then Kirbyville walks all over Jasper by 22 points. Guess that is what makes it all so interesting. HS youth are an unusual bunch to predict. I tell you what, that Silsbee can upset any of them in that District also.
It was interesting Duckbutter and a whole bunch of others have said for some weeks that the Wildcats had the capability to hand Jasper a loss.
What about H-H beating BH 7-6: that was another one of those games that could go either way.

I have to agree. I didn't think K-ville had a chance. anybody can be beaten on any given night.

Great win for the Cats. I am happy for them and their town because I know firsthand what beating someone you "aren't suppose to beat" feels like when you finally do. A couple years ago Tarkington did it against Splendora when they were undefeated and had won the battle for the bell for 10 or more years...and then tonight Tarkington finally beats Cleveland...so CONGRATS to Kirbyville for a huge victory and good luck against Silsbee and Shepherd.

So, what happened? It certainly doesn't look like it should have been a 22 point differential! I liked being the big school in the district because although district championships are nice, all that really mattered was making the playoffs. Now that there is seeding involved it makes the losses tougher to handle. Oh well, it's only one loss and we can recover from it! Maybe we'll see Kirbyville somewhere down the road! Congrats and good luck to Kirbyville!

Jasper has been notorious for losing games they "shouldn't" for years. No disrespect to K'ville, but I can remember several years this has happened. Jasper will be just fine.

This could very easily wind up being a 3 way tie for first place.

Last night....umm....was not the team that i watched play PNG and WOS....by any means. I don't know what happened last night.....last night should not have even been a game. I'm not trying to take anything away from the Kirbyville program and im gonna keep my mouth shut from what i saw standing on the sidelines last night.....but Jesus. We had a total of 7 starters gone last night, and i dont care who you are that is going to hurt. And our player who was hauled off last night was Josh Adams and whoever hit hit broke is leg and is out for the season. I really hate that for him cause he is one of my good friends and i know how bad he wants to be out there. But, we cant take this back, so good job Kirbyville, and i hope yall finish your season good. And i feel sorry for who we have to play next cause i know about 32 people who are ready to hurt(figuratively) somebody.
