This is a quote directly from another site I was just at:

Two young men from Gainesville were injured in the PP/G-ville 8th grade game. One injury took place in the first quarter with a young man getting a compound fracture in his leg. The second injury forced the coaches to call off the game shortly after half-time with PP up 30-0. The second young man was hit and lost consciousness, the PP EMS was called to the stadium, and they called Careflight and the chopper landed on the field. All of the time the player had not regained consciousness.

I just talked to my parents back home in Gainesville. They didn't say anything about it. Of course, they don't know anyone in the 8th grade.

Nonetheless, I hope the future Leopards heel quickly.

This is so sad for such an injury to happen at such a young age. They will definitely be in my prayers. I hope it is not a spinal cord injury. I have been dealing with just such a thing, spinal cord injury and paralysis, with my husband for the past four weeks.

I pray for a speedy recovery for both boys.

Our thoughts and prayers are with these players and their families.

This is the down-side to the sport we all love so much. :(
