View Full Version : "Huddle" or "No Huddle"

Seems like the "no huddle" with "hand signals" has taken over as the method of choice for coaches to convey the plays to their offenses. Back in "the day" there was very little "no huddle". I still don't understand how teams get all that info that quickly. Now some teams get the hand signal, come up to the line, pause, and all the skill players do a "look back" for changes.

We always had the no huddle for two-minute drills and stuff, but that was it...

It can make the D you're facing very tired...

But it can make those hogs you got blocking for you tired as well...

We also used the no-huddle 2 minute drill way back in '87. This is very interesting as I just now thought about it, our coaches used hand signals to call plays to the QB. Now it seems that everyone has to know the hand signals not just the QB like back in my day.
