Yeh there might be doubt.....Dane and Christian from Decatur. As a sophmore last year Dane threw for almost as many yards last year as McGee, and in fewer games. Christian is bigger than Shipley and just as fast, but did not have as many yards because he was not the primary target most of the time like shipley is. Dane does an excellent job of finding the open man and follows his progressions. Even when Christian was open (which happens on most plays), if he is not first in the progression the ball is not thrown to him. Consider this: if Dane avoids injury this season and next, he has a real shot at being one of the top 3 yardage men in Texas HS history. Can McGee say that?

I know the Burnet duo is renowned, but in this part of the state, get ready to hear about Derek McKenzie connecting with Manuel Johnson a lot. One of the last passes Derek threw last season was a TD strike to Manuel and I believe they'll take up right where they left off on Aug. 29 in Gladewater.
