I don't think that Columbus matches up very well against Rice. Rice is way to fast and talented for Columbus to come close. Rice will control this game from begining to end.

I'm not predicting, because you can never take a team too lightly.
Especially, in the case with Columbus. This is Rice's big rival and anything can happen. The Raiders will need to keep their heads on straight for this game and not let last nights big win get to them.
May it be a safe and injury free game for both teams!!

Go Raiders!!!:cheerl: :cheerl: :cheerl:

CheerMom is right. I remember two years or so ago wen Rice was highly ranked, and they went to Columbus thinking they were going to run all over them. And Rice went home with a 14-0 win. Every year Columbus has Rice's number, but I just have a gut feeling that this is the year that we bust this one open. Rice's coaches are going to get them ready.

I don't believe this will be a blowout by any stretch for several reasons. One is Columbus won't allow a blowout after what happened to them last week. They are not real good but they are smart and they are proud. They are going to line up, milk the clock and play that "we can't win so lets go out there and keep it as close as possible" gameplan they have used the past two years. Secondly, I expect a little let down from last week, which was one of the more complete games our school has ever played. I hope we win by 50 but I expect 28-7.

I felt Navasota was the cream of the crop, a team to seriously worry about in the semi's...

I felt Rice wasn't that team, having lost to Yoakum etc...

Was shocked when I heard about this score...

Same situation this week... Rice looks to be that bad boy, then here is Columbus....

Gobbla has a good point. This fact has hit me too, but I still think Rice will beat Columbus as long as they don't take it easy. Knowing all the players of that team personally, I am pretty sure they'll do what needs to be done in practice and on the field next Friday.

Well columbus is in a deep hole with injuries, and grades. Columbus has very little speed, if any. They will throw the ball, although turner is out this year, vickers is doing a descent job chunking the ball. If huffman gets in the secondary no one will catch him, and if they do they won't be able to tackle him. Orry jones #44 is a very good football player. He's been an all district LB since he has been on Varsity, and he will HIT!!
Sorry C-town...Good luck to both, but i am pulling for the cardinals

Hey Jett how do you think we will do??

Go Raiders!!

I know that the Cardinals play 110% every snap. They might not win, but they are going to keep the game very close to a cross town rival. The Cardinals goal is hold the Raiders to not that many snaps. Just focus in on what you guys have to do and everything will fall in place.

If the class of 04 had one more year to play again. I know that we would have took the hole thing undeafeated. And sure I would have loved to play Columbus, Bellville, Wharton, and most of all Port Isabel for one more time. We should have took it last year but can't make no excuses. That's all said and done know. Well, football's over for me now, but I have tons of memories to tell my kids and grandkids when I get older. So I think that is the most important thing. But the Raiders this year is looking real strong. So who knows, this just might be the year for the Raiders.

Go Raiders:D
