FORNEY – Kelley Flannery completed 15 of 27 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown as Forney (2-4) upset Terrell (3-2) in both teams' 11-4A opener.

Bobby Lind, who caught three passes for 51 yards, scored on a 23-yard pass from Flannery with 8.8 seconds remaining in the first half.

Mekelle Webb scored the winning touchdown from a yard away with 6:02 remaining in the third quarter, capping an 11 play, 77-yard drive lasting almost 9 minutes.

Forney's Casey Wilson, who intercepted a Terrell pass with 2:20 remaining, opened the scoring with a 44-yard field goal at the 5:23 mark in the first quarter. Bobby Pope intercepted a last second pass to seal the victory for Forney.

Dont feel bad, the same thing happened to Burnet last night, we had the smallest turn out Ive seen in a long time. And it just tickles me that those fair weather fans that stayed home missed one of the most exciting games Burnet has played in the last several years. I think we still had as many as NBC, who I thought had a miserable turn out for a 4a team that was 5-0 at home. Geeeezzzz
