Atlanta's non-district or Sinton's non-district:

Atlanta:

Kilgore
Hallsville
Carthage
Texas High
Mt. Pleasant

or Sinton's:

Taft
Gregory-Portland
Cuero
West Oso
Beeville Jones

I'm not saying Atlanta is better than Sinton...but that wasn't the comment that the soccer guy was making.

His statement was the Sinton had the toughest non-district schedule. I stated he was wrong, which he is!

Sinton IS better than Atlanta this year, but the schedule is tougher for Atlanta.

in your opinion .. there's really no way of knowing ... atlanta could very well end up 11-5 state champs

You are soooo correct, 3afan...just like last year.

Regardless, the point was well made and state truth.

If strength of schedule were listed....Atlanta's would be ranked tougher than Sintons. You can't argue that based on the numbers and rankings.

Are the rankings wrong, probably so, but that's all we have to go by!

Well naturally they would rather have Sinton's schedule. They aren't Sinton so those teams won't play as hard as they do against Sinton! If I were them I probably would wan the same thing too.

FYI, Atlanta has probly always had one of the toughest non-district schedules in Class 3A. That is why you never see them in any polls, but I grant you that they are always good because of it...I would rather have sinton's sched. than altanta's any day of the week!

Are you saying that teams go harder against Sinton than the other teams go against the defending 3A state champions in Atlanta?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Come on soccer guy, give me something better than that!

By rankings, it is obvious that Sinton has the tougher 'ranked' schedule than Atlanta (playing #1 in 3A and #2 in 4A)...

Like I said, 'out of the two', which means I'm not counting WO-S, they may have the toughest...

I haven't seen any of the teams Atlanta has played, just as you guys prolly haven't seen any of the teams Sinton has played, so stop homering...

A strength of schedule poll is also done by rankings...

Both are tough schedules by name and by rankings...

If playing the tougher teams doesn't better prepare your team for district and the play-offs...........quit playing them! Comparing your schedule to Sinton or anyone else for that matter doesn't put a 1 in the win column. Beat one of the big boys first and then talk about how you should be ranked higher! :D

How many teams are as good as GP and Cuero or better. Rankings say only one in 4a and none in 3a. Reality i would say around 10 are as good as GP and Cuero or better. Has Atlanta played at least one that compares to GP or Cuero? NO dont think so.... but after that Sinton hasnt played a team that is nowhere near the best 50 in there classification. All that matters is Sinton has seen two of the better teams in 4a and 3a.

Again, read the post...

which schedule would you rather have?

I'd love to play G-P and Cuero just to have OSO, Jones and Taft.

Sinton-fan: are you saying that Kilgore, ranked highly, isn't near as good as G-P? Are you saying the Texas High or Hallsville isn't as good as Cuero? I think you are mistaken, my friend!
