I wasn't trying to take a jab at you don't think that at all, but my husband got into a discussion about football, and was told not to talk about it so I was just trying to say that this board is about football and that if it's about football we should talk about it, things that aren't about football or really matter for instance we shouldn't talk about. Know what I mean, like do you really care about water polo?

I care about all sorts of things during the off-season, which is when that thread and most like it were created and discussed. I think you know that too.

The majority of threads on here ARE about football right now. This would be a mighty boring place in the off season if ALL we talked about was football.

in my opinion, theres a certain point to which some topics are unneccessary, but theres nothing wrong with throwing every once in a while that uses the participation of whoever wants to speak in it and adds a little humor to the discussion boards

You are full of beans!!!! NO moderator told your husband he couldn't discuss what he was discussing. I was the only moderator that said anything on that thread and all I said was we don;'t care for that sort of thing. I explained why. Then, I even said it WASN'T a warning. All I asked yall to do was to realize you are on a statewide board and to use some judgement in your posts. I have HAD it with this continual sniping at the moderators. If you don't like the way we run things, then take off! Any more bad-mouthing the mods on here, and you'll have help leaving from me.

Sinton66, this is the husband now. Careful how you talk to someones wife. You never know who their husband might be. Anyways, my wife never stated in the paragraph you copied into your response that a "moderator" told me not to talk about the subject. She stated that I was told to not discuss it. Which I was. And threatening people to kick them off for voicing their opinion is very one sided. My wife nor I have never knocked the moderators. I believe it was another poster who started alot of this. But the moderators are not God. While I realize your purpose for the website, stating an objective opinion is what allows us to make progress. If the rules are set to never offend a moderator, then I bet you guys kick alot of people off. I understand that everyone else thinks they can run things better than the person doing it. I understand that you moderators probably do get the third degree more than the posters. I do feel for you. However, you probably already knew that you would when you agreed to be moderators. So again, thanks for doind your job to the best of your ability, but making threats as to "You want me to take care of your light work?", and "I will personally take care of that poster.", will never scare anyone. In all honesty, its just a website, that we get to share opinions about our local football programs. Dont get a power trip because you enforce the rules. Take criticism with an open mind and heart. I will admit the truck, small town, football glory all fits well in this contract where you sign your life away--although if you're already 'in' mr. guapo this all doesnt apply to you...because you dont have to discuss it.
