Let's post tonights volleyball scores here. In District 30AAA we have several key games that consist of Sinton vs Mathis and Aransas Pass vs Goliad.

Smithville 9-17-14

CALDWELL — The Caldwell Lady Hornets continued to roll through District 19-3A, sweeping Smithville, 25-9, 25-17, 25-14.

Lacey Williams had nine kills to pace the Hornets’ attack. Brandi Crnkovic had 13 digs, while Ashley McCallister had 10 digs, three aces and 25 assists.

Jacie Cobia had three aces and five kills while Kacee Minor and Meredith Groce had five kills each.

In sub-varsity action, Caldwell’s JV was a 25-18, 25-11 winner, while the freshmen posted a 25-15, 25-18 victory.

The Hornets (26-3, 8-0) will play host to Cameron on Friday with the JV at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity to follow.

Before she started playing it was something to do at family gatherings. A single match is kinda' fun to watch but the tournaments can drag on. One thing about VB is those crazy pre/post match dances that the players do along with the chants!

Barbers Hill remained undefeated in district play as they downed Splendora in three games. After falling behind 8-3, the Eagles took control of the first game and the match as they took a 25-12, 25-9 and 25-12 victory. BH is now 27-2 for the year and 4-0 in district. The Eagles will complete the first round of district play when they travel to Cleveland Friday. The varsity game will be at 4:30, the J.V. 5:30 and the freshmen at 6:30.

Thanks for the updates. The Sinton Lady Pirates beat Mathis 3 - 0 and Goliad defeated Aransas Pass 3 - 1. Both Sinton and Goliad are 3 - 0 in district and play this Friday at 4:30 P.M. Then on to the football field at 7:30 P.M. for district football game between Sinton and Goliad. It is homecoming for Sinton.

Other 3A volleyball scores are Orange Grove 3 Zapata 0, Falfurrias 3 West Oso 1, and Bishop 3 Hebbronville 0.
