Manuel Johnson of Gilmer has been tearing it up so far this year. He had two TD runs and a TD pass in the first quarter alone against Daingerfield the other night. I think I read in the paper that he has 15 TDs w/out an INT so far this season but I could be mistaken.

Last year he had almost 80 receptions at WR and has already committed to OU as a WR.

Chandler Dane of Decatur leads all 3a if not the state in yards right now and is on his way to being 3rd all time in passin yards in texas

Correction. I went back and looked at the article and he has 2 INT's. He has over 1500 yds passing and 300+ on the ground.

G.J. Kinne of Canton. Only a soph but right up there with Dane in stats....runs and throws really well, and he has led Canton to 5-0 record.

I dont know who's the best, but here's some numbers.

MV's qb, Colby Dickson, has 17 td's with only 3 ints. He has thrown for 1,140 yrds.

That kid from Ingleside (Randy Webb) used to be Aransas Pass' QB. These two rivals meet up on Friday. Hmmmmmm:thinking:

I'm sure that him and all of his old teammates will hug and kiss before the game in the spirit of good sportsmanship. And while they're doing that the old crew will hang a huge bullseye on his back. Should be fun. I hear he's agile.

Just be glad he isn't from Taft. If he was, they'd prolly be filing a protest about now.

I know this is homer, but I would put up our QB's numbers against just about any. If you disagree, feel free.

Dane from Decatur:

89 for 118 (75%)
1585 yds passing
22 TDs passing
3 TDs rushing
1 INT (maybe the most impressive stat of all)

All of this done against 2 4A teams and 3 Top Ten 3A teams at the time we played them.
