Close, but not quite for McGee of Burnet (96 of 170 complete for 1924 yds, 23 TDs and only 4 Ints)

Must applaud Pittman of Cameron (Passed for 1369 yds and rushed for 1293 yds)

Smith from Llano threw for 1952 yds

That 2000 mark usually comes after a few rounds of the playoffs. Matt Peebles, Bridge City and Sauceda, Orangefield, will attain that level with a few playoff games under their belt, if they get that far. That's pretty good for Peebles, since he gets to play about 2 1/2 quarters average, to allow depth training for others.

Old Dog-Smith didn't have that much, Hicks outpassed him and had around 1800.

i was sure Bridgeport's QB had more than 2000 yards passing, but 3000 . Is that close to a state record for 10 games?

Brett Hicks
99 for 182
.544 average
19 TDs
9 ints.
1724 yards

I would say with only 99 completions for 1724 yards is pretty good.

Scout24, Got the Smith passing yards info from the Austin paper yesterday...and they don't carry info from the Bandera area. I double checked the stats and it says 1952 yards. Of course they could be wrong....don't honestly know. I certainly didn't intend any disrepect to Hicks, just reporting what they printed. Hicks is for sure a very good QB. I've heard that OSU might recruit him, if that factual or rumor?

I heard OSU offered both Daugherty and Hicks at their summer camp and Daugherty got upset and declined and Hicks said he wanted to stay in state, he'll probably end up at Houston.
