Not sure how may MLB fans are on here, but I assume there's a little more interest with the Astros' amazing run.

So who do y'all have in the Series.

My head says....

NLDS: Astros over Braves; Cardinals over Dodgers
NLCS: Astros over Cardinals

ALDS: Red Sox over Angels; Twins over Yankees
ALCS: Twins over Red Sox

World Series: Astros over Twins

My heart says....

Red Sox over Astros

Go Sox! Go Stros! But please, somebody beat the Yankees!

Boy there are a lot of Yankee haters here in Texas.

Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Munson, Jeter, etc...

How can you hate the Yankees?

Just because they spend more money than anybody?

Some owners can't, but many can and don't. One thing you can say, the Yankees are committed to winning

if cards win the series it will be in less than 7...they dont have the pitching to win it in 7 games...now i would agree w/ u if u say that they possibly win it in 5 or 6...

My opinion for what its worth:

NLDS: Astros over Braves (3 games); Dodgers over Cards (5 games)
NLCS: Astros over Dodgers (5 games)

ALDS: Red Sox over Angels (4 games); Yankees over Twins (5 games)
ALCS: Yankees over Red Sox (7 games, bottom of the 9th comeback by the Yankees....)

World Series: Astros over Yankees (7 games...in a microcosm of the season the 'stros win game 1 and 2, then loose 3, 4, and 5, get told to go home, its over dont show up for 6 or think about 7 and we win both of them)

IF the Astros had Pettite and Miller still.......i'd say Astros ALL THE WAY......but since they just have 2 GREAT pitchers......then The Team momentum might take them 2 rounds deep.......

u r right in that their pitching is not as strong as it has been in the past, but it is not bad. However, the lineup of Womack, Walker, Pujols, Rolen, Edmunds, Renteria should produce 8 or more runs in some games to overcome mediocre pitching.

The playoffs usually come down to pitching and defense.
The NLCS really doesn't have a pitching dominant team. Braves have done wonders with their staff. The Astros, Cardinals, and Dodgers have some good pitchers, but not much depth.
I agree if Miller and Petite were healthy then the Astros would be looking good rotation wise.
I think the Cardinals are a destiny team. Decent pitching, and a hell of an offense. Puljos, Edmonds, Rolen, and the rest.
Cards to take the NLCS

The ALCS should come down to the Red Sox and Yankees. Both these teams have good pitching staffs. Kevin Brown had a good start his last time out. The Angels have a great bullpen, but I think after Colon their staff can be beaten.
The Red Sox give a nice one-two punch with Schilling and Martinez. I say it's the Red Sox year to get to the world series.
Red Sox to win the ALCS.

And finally...... Cards over Red Sox in 6 games to win it all!

I like ths Astros in the finals, but don't think they will get past the Cardinals. Really, I don't care, just as long as it's not those damn Yankees.
Hopefully the Red Sox will be there and Jeter will be in the stands watching.

What team has more than 2 great pitchers? I think the Astros rotation will matchup well against anyone.

If the Astros get there, beating anyone other than the Yankees just wouldn’t be quite the accomplishment. I want them to get there and beat the Yankees…that would be the utmost.

yanks stros or yanks cardinals....braves always fold in the post season, stros are riding a wave that's stilll high.......cardinals have been solid all year but are falling as of late and you never ever count the yanks out of anything, no matter if it's post season or not, despite if you like them or not either

NLDS - Astros over Braves (3 Games), Cards over Dodgers (3 G.)
NLCS - Houston over St. Louis (4 G),

ALDS - Sox over Angels(3 G), Yankees over Twins(4 G)
ALCS - Boston over New York (5 G)

World Series - Astros over Sox (6 Games)

Since im a huge astro fan, i got to go wit them especially ridin the momentum that there on, with clemens and oswalt, they have a great 1-2 punch, then i think the way backe pitched sunday and the way he has been, he will make a nice third starter, then there offense is outa control right now hitin everything really, defense is really lookin good so i think they have a shot at it all

Go Stros!!!! all da way
