Who was that guy? Right offensive tackle #70, not in the program, makes 8 pancake blocks on the big stud #65 6'4" 270 lb DT for Hempstead. To top it off he comes back in the second half as #88 Right TE after Schramm is benched for a lacerated forearm and makes a great reception to keep a drive going in the 4th. You guessed it! Way to go Alby! La Grange 51 Hempstead 7. No turn-overs and both the offense and defense impressed tonight. This is a new team now. The new O line with right tackle Keith Hickle 5'11" 280 moved to center and LTE Albion Stiffler 6'1" 250 to right tackle (hence #70) has strengthened the interior line and freed up Keith Krause #68 (All District MLB) to concentrate on D, thus shoring up the middle which was a weak spot in Sealy. Real coaching genuis here!

The Leps have a bye week and that will give them time to heal up and go into Manor full strength. Go Leps!!!! :D

The Leps looked like a complete team tonight playing error free football, no turnovers and few penalties. The defense was superb like those of the past two seasons, swarming to the ball and not giving up the big plays. We made 3 or 4 interceptions and held Hempstead to 4 first downs. I think the team is coming together at the right time and will have real success in District. Look out for Manor. They are fast and will be a real tough opponent in an away game and district opener. Big surprise and positive tonight was back-up Qb John Hernandez who showed real speed and poise on that TD run, faking out the safety like he did and going in for the score. Seems we have some real depth on offense. :)
