Just got back from this game. Decatur had too many weapons on offense, especially well-executed middle screens. Dane is one of the most accurate and smartest QB's I've seen in a few years. Decatur's defense was too quick to the ball for Wylie...they never could get untracked on offense and finally scored their TD on a 4th and 2. Decatur still looks like the "Real" deal that doesn't make many mistakes. IMHO it will take a really physical, big, fast team that can "beat up" Decatur's smallish defense and receivers and play ball-control to have a chance against them.

Heard from a fellow Eagle fan that Wylie has zero speed compared to the Decatur team.

Wylie's QB is a good looking athlete....he just did'nt get a whole lot of help tonight against a very, very good Decatur team.

I dont know for sure that u can say they are goin to win it yet there are alot of solid teams out there that could jump up and put a hurting on any unsuspecting team....theres alot of one loss teams that are grossly underrated

I was just saying they are my pick.. they have beat some top teams and have proven to me that they have what it takes..

I thought this would happen. I really think that Decatur is the best in region I if not the state. They have scheduled a tough schedule and beat each team soundly.

Good luck to the Eagles, and I hope they go DI so they don't roll up my Vernon Lions as payback for last year. (That is if my Lions can get into the playoffs).

Anyway, congrats Decatur.

I am really happy that Decatur is the largest school in their district. No way they can go D2. Looks like they have a lock on Region 1 after already rolling up Wylie, Graham and Gainesville.
