Difficult to get accurate info from idiot TV stations around here.. It appears that Canyon won 25-20. May not know for certain until the Blitz show at 11:37pm

Lil Abner and Daisy Mae.. :D Naw, one of the Lubbock TV stations gets a score, and the others all jump on it and copy each other. Then no updates/corrections...
The Amarillo channel 7 has a show called the Blitz at 11:37 pm. By then the dust has settled, and you pretty much get accurate info. If you're still awake:p

I guess it's been awhile since I watched Lubbock news - is Abner Euresti still doing news?

After the local news ends at 10:30, the stations around here run a little banner with (outdated) scores. They are still incorrectly running the River Road score as RR 15, Muleshoe 6. (actual 13-6, see my whining post under Panhandle scores.) So you gotta hang around until the Blitz if you want to know before tomorrow morning. I don;t know why 11:37 instead of 11:30

That was my most "unfavorite" news. Unfortunately, it's my mom's fav, because they are the only ones to show "her" weather.

I shouldn't laugh....our "Final Score" starts at 11:35!

That reminds me of something...I typed up the Ballinger program for tonights game and all their players weights are rounded to the nearest 5.

My daughter was looking at it and said, "isn't it weird how all their weights end in either a "0" or a "5"??:doh: :rolleyes:

Back to football...Official final score: Canyon 25 Lubbock Cooper 20.
As discussed earlier this week by in a post by Z-motion, the Canyon Eagles without much fanfare have snuck in a D1 team that will have to be reckoned with at playoff time. Since it appears extremely likely that Levelland will NOT make the playoffs in 2-3A (you heard it here first,) tonight's Canyon-Cooper game was probably a sneak preview of the 1st round D1 game between 1-3A and 2-3A.
However, anything can happen in high school football. Muleshoe certainly re-learned that lesson tonight as they got whipped by a 21-point River Road underdog.
