I can't get the Sinton game to come in.. but I finally got the Wharton game to play clearly.. Wharton leading 17-14.. Jones just threw an interception.

Thanks for the update. It's still 7-0 Sinton. Sinton just had 2nd and 25 and got a first down but fumbled and lost AGAIN! 4:30 in the third.
Considering Orange Grove has had 25 fumbles in their first 5 games I think it's catching.:( :o :(

Pirates are most certainly a 2nd half team!

24-22 Wharton with little over a minute left........ (I think) it keeps cutting off

Ramirez faked them out pretty good on the keeper.

Did Adrian, class of 03 go play football anywhere? He was a real good qb for the Pirates.

He is R/S for the Longhorns

Adrian Alaniz got a full ride scholarship to the University of Texas for baseball. He's not playing football at all. He will most likely be a starter for the Longhorns this coming baseball season. He was red shirted this past season with a slight arm injury.

I understand Trujillo did not play at all tonight with an ankle injury. Franco spent some time on the sidelines throwing up. All in all, Sinton came on strong in the second half.

The Sinton girls also had a volleyball match against the Orange Grove girls tonight before the football game. The Sinton Lady Pirates won 3 games to 1 in a very competitive match. It was a great win for Sinton though because they hadn't beaten Orange Grove in several years. Orange Grove has had outstanding teams the past several years as well as this year but the Lady Pirates finally won a match against them after losing close ones the past several years. Good Job Lady Pirates! And Congratulations Pirates for you win in football too.

More good news from Orange Grove. Their next project is to build a new stadium with more seating.

I had not seen the Big Boy Back field. Since I have not attended all the games I was wondering how often they have used the linemen in the backfield as running back and blockers?

That was pretty awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time I know of. Probably just trying something new.

I have been to all of the Sinton games. This game had to be the first for the lineman in the back field. An interesting note. The announcer at Orange Grove stammered and stuttered when he announced the play. Then he made a comment about "the Refrigerator". Pretty astute. He probably didn't know the name. Congrats to Fred Rodriguez.
