...but I can't ever remember this many "moms" registered and using 3ADL all at the same time!

NOT that it is a bad thing. It's just an observation. :) You GOTTA love "the moms"! :inlove:

Wooo, You sound a little macho this morning DOGMOM. You might want to get yourself checked out there girl, cause your testosterone levels might be getting just a little too high!!!

Think of a peaceful place and sing out loud the song "I feel pretty".

I hope it helps.

DOGMOM, since you didn't respond, I thought maybe you had forgotten the words to the song. Here's the 1st stanza and we'll sing along with you....

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and gay!
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

I feel charming,
Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face,
Such a pretty dress,
Such a pretty smile,
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy!

Well I'm a little late joining this thread, but here's to all the moms! My son tells me that I "fit right in" on this board.

Sometimes I laugh at work because it's me all wrapped up in football instead of the men. I always have on my Panthers shirts on Fridays during football season and everyone wondered what was up today. (Bye week.)

Have we ever counted how many moms actively post? And how many of you have kids currently playing on varsity? (I know LH Panther Mom is between varsity players at the moment!)

I was NOT a football fan until my boys started playing football. I did not grow up in Texas. I am a Yankee! (But I love Texas and I have two little Texans, so I consider myself a transplant.) Texas Football is getting lots of media coverage with the new movie Friday Night Lights. I read the book. Texas football is really fun and exciting!
I appreciate all of you who support these young people and cheer for your team as I cheer for mine. I pray before each and every game that there are NO serious injuries on either team. After all they are our sons!

I am so thankful for the coaches we have in Jasper. They are not only very hard working, dedicated men, but also very special in that they CARE about their players NOt just how they play!

2DawgsMom -
Well, I was raised in Texas, with 4 older brothers. They all played ball and I married a football fanatic 23 years ago. I've always enjoyed football, but once my boys got to varsity football in a great program like Coach Vance runs, it is a whole new ballgame. I only have one still playing, but the last few years have been the best times of my life. I'm very active in the booster club and LOVE having a living room full of my boys and their teammates. (There are still 8 here right now after the TX/OU game.)

Welcome to life as a football mom!

You know, sometimes as moms it is hard to find things that you can enjoy with your boys, especially country boys. But with football, there is usually the possibility of a connection. I love watching my boys play football, or even just sitting and watching a game on TV with them. Sometimes I think it is better than going shopping with the daughter! LOL....
2Dawgsmom...how old are your boys?

LHMom
10-09-2004, 04:56 PM
18 & 16. They were on the varsity together last year. My oldest is now at Tarleton State in Stephenville. He is home every Friday to watch little brother & his former teammates play ball. My youngest is a junior, and plays linebacker.

LH Panther Mom has 2 boys also - one at UT and one in junior high.

Do your boys play on the same team?

You know, it is very possible that our boys play on the team together. We just have to figure out who we are! 2Dawgs...if your son plays on JV or varsity, what is his #? My JV boy is #58, he is a soph. My senior son doesn't play this year. He decided to work and have a girlfriend instead! ARGHHH! :(

I grew up in a small town. Athletic events were all the entertainment there was. I played in the band in high school and in college. Even though my son is not playing,, I still love the game!!!
