halletsville vs. cuero... battle of two teams with 3 shutouts to date... halletsville had probably the easiest preseason schedule in 3a so i dont know how many of those shutouts were legit, meaning holding 2a teams to no points doesnt say a whole lot about your defense

I really don't see Hallettsville as a problem, it's always Gonzales or Yoakum. They along with Cuero have always been the 3 best in our district.

yeah i thought the question meant games that happen this week or next week... yoakum looks all right... gonzales doesnt have a very good team this year but they know cuero so much that they can make up a good enough gameplan to keep it close

Gonzales ALWAYS gives Cuero problems, bitter rivalry...

Yoakum and Cuero will be the biggest match-up in district...

West Columbia @ Wharton

the last two times these two have played, it was a 1 point game, with W.C. coming out on top both times. Now probably for a district championship.

Cuero has a great fanbase what can we say ....... go to a Cuero game and see for yourself be it on the road or at home.

Hmmm, I don't know about "biggest", but we have Brady next week. They're back in the district after being out the last two years. I really don't know much about them this year, other than they gave up close to 500 yds against Jim Ned last week.

Maybe you should nominate their defensive coach on that other thread about who is the best in the state.

Yeah, but then I'd have to put something about us giving up 50 points to Manor, just to be fair.

no doubt they have a great fan base.. i've been an active member on this board for a couple of years and its funny to see members come and go, last year it was burnet that had 10000000 posters sign up daily, just to leave after the season is over.. I hope you guys stick around longer then them and learn about other teams besides just cuero, and more importantly add to our lil community

Ingleside -vs- Aransas Pass.....

no matter who has the better team, or how much better one team is than the other...you never know how this one is going to turn out...although..the last handful of years..Ingleside cant pull off the win...despite having the better team a few times.

After Hallettsville's big win over 2A Schulenburg, they are on cloud nine and enjoying a great season. They have a very good running back that Cuero will have to contain. Sounds like he's a one man team, he does it all. District starts now and they will not be playing no little 2A schools. Cuero has been scouting and has a good game plan. Don't plan on coming to Cuero and running havoc on us. Our defense will be awesome, the crowd will be awesome, and the score in favor of Cuero. This will be a great district opener for both teams.
See you there!!

Caldwell vs. Cameron... this week 10/8

Biggest game both teams will probably be playing.... Going to be a good one. If you're close to Caldwell, I would make a trip down here!

Palestine @ Rusk

Even though Palestine will be favored by about 3 touchdowns, Rusk (along with Diboll) are the teams in the district that are battling for 2nd place. The next week Palestine goes to Diboll.

Sinton vs Aransas Pass

Sinton usually has an easy district, but now Aransas Pass is 5-0 they will probably be Sinton's toughest district win.

Clyde is at Snyder this week. I know what you are probably thinking a blowout, but not so fast Clyde was only a little shy of pulling of the upset against a tough Vernon team. I look for Clyde to rebound and upset Snyder. I think if they upset Snyder then they will make the playoffs for the first time since '96.

08/27/2004 7:30PM SAN DIEGO Won 28-19
09/03/2004 7:30PM at ORANGE GROVE Won 28-13
09/10/2004 7:30PM BISHOP Won 34-6
09/17/2004 7:30PM at SKIDMORE-TYNAN Won 34-7
09/24/2004 7:30PM at REFUGIO Won 35-26
10/01/2004 7:30PM WEST OSO Won 42-21

Aransas Pass is not as good as their record reflects.
