3afan, if the last 10 seconds of game time (lasted about 5 minutes of real time) was any indication, it was a heck of a game. How was your JV game?

i called the first inning of the first game - then I spent the rest of the night training 2 "rookies" ... perfect atmosphere for training - the games dont mean anything (high school fal ball - JV), people know there is umpire training going on, and the games have 1:10 time limits .... plus I got 2 game fees !!!!!!

right now our chapter (www.dmsua.com) is about 20 persons short of having enough umpires to cover the 100 schools we serve [2500+ games ], so if anyone is interested in earning some decent spending money let me hear from you ...

Navy kicked a field goal to win 24-21. I switched over with 10 seconds left - they still had 3 timeouts at that point. I believe they used them all, to give their kicker some practice time. Apparently, the kicking game has somewhat less than desirable.

LOL,

It may have seemed that way, but the same team can't call two timeouts in a row without running a play between them.

They did - QB spiked the ball to stop the clock.
