i keep seeing these polls and whatnot and most dont even mention Zapata. i'm telling yall right now...they will be a force to be reckoned with later in the year...mark my words.

Zapata could do some damage in the playoffs - it all depends who they draw in the first or even second round. I don't see this team getting out of the second round. It be nice though to have a team from the valley have a great showing this year.

IMO, I think they are for real and will give people a tough time and maybe even wins some depending who they get first.

BTW, Zapata is NOT part of the RG Valley, but Port Isabel is part of the valley and we did have a great showing last year and hoping to repeat this year and many more to come.

I don't know about their football, but the fishing in Lake Falcon is awsome and the food is great. My favorite is 4-Milpas steak house in Zapata.

By the way, do they call plays in spanish or english?

Ignore the previous person from Zapata, the person was a tad upset.

It's a stereotype, but no, we do not call plays in Spanish, though you never know. Our school can speak English, and yes, we live in Texas.

Here's a little story:
We went to Ingleside and the cheerleaders asked do they say "Hawks" in spanish, so that they can do their cheer in Spanish.
