it strikes me funny that w/ all the talk of the good 4A teams in our area (south Texas) that nobody has mentioned Flour Bluff. they are sneaking under the radar while everyone talks of Calallen & Portland. The Bluff has played some decent teams and absolutely crushed them....this week will be their first real test....but i'm willing to wager that this game will be alot closer than most people think!

Flour Bluff's record so far:

08/27/2004 7:30PM- LAREDO LBJ- Won 49-7
09/03/2004 7:30PM- KING- Won 28-21
09/17/2004 7:30PM- at PORT LAVACA CALHOUN- Won 35-14
09/24/2004 7:30PM- ROCKPORT-FULTON *- Won 42-7

Hustlin' Hornets

I guess if someone with a warped sense of humor might have named them the "BLUFFALOS" lol

I say Gregory-Portland will win by about 4 points.

GP by 21.
I've been watching how they are doing, Flour Bluff that is, and they look very stout.
Look for them to take the third seed in district.

I think Gregory-Portland is still ranked No. 2 in 4A football.

The Bluff needs to keep the clock running and take the 28-14 loss.
They can play it up as a "close game" and have a good shot at the playoffs...

If they stop the clock 42-14 is a possibility and FB could have a hard time regrouping. Don't put a season on the line for 1 game this early in district. Great if ya pull it off, but really it's a big risk reward ratio!

if you look at the teams that Bluff has played, it is safe to say they MIGHT be a padded 4-0
