there was the Sealy Tigers in the mid to late 90's
the Cuero Gobblers in the 70's and 80's

any other reigns that would be considered a dynasty?

Is forney a dynasty :P 45-10 the since 2000 is pretty nice, but i have a ping pong record of 56-3 over the last 7 months. Now tell me that isn't nice.

Southlake Carroll when they won all those consecutive games and then Sealy...how do you go 63-1 over 4 years with 4 state crowns and not be considered a dynasty?

The Whitesboro Bearcats have their own kind of dynasty going.

Sealy was definately a dynasty with what you have stated, and southlake caroll was strong when they were in 3a. Cuero i believe is the next closest thing with the 73,74 titles and 70,75 state finalist. In the 80's it was a little more spread out with i believe finalists in 83,85,86, and champions in 87. But like it was stated, you must win to be called a dynasty. I still think i should get some credit for ping pong.

i went undefeated between my group of friends on the old madden 2004.. and i was undefeated on 2005 when i left..

i think my record was like 87-0, not including the major blow out losses that my friends would quit half way thru the game

someone tell me thats not a freakin dynasty

Didn't go in 83, just in 85, 86 and 87 (Cuero that is)...

then in '93 and '98...

The most state championship game appearances since 1970 (9)...

Sealy won it in '79 I believe with Dickerson in the back field (2A I believe, which was kinda the 'old' 3A)...

If nothing else, Sealy and Celina were the teams of the 90's (Celina running into the '00's, or course)...

Ugly, but true. I saw it up close for a few years and it was not a pretty sight.

Funny thing, though, for several years (quite a while back) they had Jr. High, Freshman and JV teams that would go undefeated, but the good players seemed to disappear into the Varsity black hole.

im not sure too many dynasty's will arise right now, seeing as 3A ball is becoming extremely competitive(not that it wasnt before) and one team may go 2-8 or 1-9 and come back the next year and go deep in the playoffs. i like it like this because it gives everyone hope and shows that dreams can come true.

Brownwood in the late 60's and early 70's. I think they won 5 or six state championships in 12 years. They were tough every year and I don't think anyone has had a run like that since then.
This was in Gordon Wood's heyday and he had the Southhall (sp)brothers at quarterback who all went to Baylor.

I promise you this was a dynasty.

I looked it up:
3a State Champs - 60, 65, 67, 69, 70, & 79
3a Runner-up - 77
4a State Champ - 81

Is there anybody that would not take this?

Didnt Mart go to state the same years and have some sort of undefeated streak such as the one Celina had when they were both in 2A. I remember that they wound up in the same division and played for a state title. Mart lost and Celina went on two win 2 more state crowns i believe. IMO, These two teams would be the most recent dynasties.

If I remember correctly, Mart had a 37-game win streak going into the 2A D2 Bowl against Celina back in '00. I remember because they squeaked by Refugio to get number 37. But they only got the chance to win one championship before the streak was ended.
