Taft is hard to judge how good they really are. It seems like Sinton is the only opponent they will really get "up" for. It usually doesn't matter what the records are. They nearly always play their best game against Sinton. Good win, Pirates! Like pirate4state said, let's concentrate on Ingleside now.

Sinton Pirate is right. In this rivalry previous records mean nothing. Taft is always well prepared especially when the game is played in Taft like the one last night. But the Pirates did what they had to do to win.

Hey guys(and girl, lol), I got to go to the Taft game and did Taft play a good game. It was kinda like last year when they played their hearts out. There is one thing I gotta say about the atmosphere. I had to sit on the Taft side and I have to say that I am impressed with the noise that the Sinton side put out. For such a rinky dink visitors side, there was plenty of organized, loud cheers coming from there. You guys rocked! I had to join on some of those chants and you should have seen some of the looks. It was all good because there were a few other Sinton fans on the Taft side. A friend of mine who works there told me that Taft had to condemn part of the visitors side bleachers and that's the reason for the tiny seating.
I was impressed with those Taft kids, the have alot of grit.
Good win Pirates!
We got a taste of some playoff football, I believe. It should help down the road.

ive been real big on taft this year, everyone knows that... so i see them as the spoiler in the coming weeks...

I think there is a possibility that the Pirates may have tried to take this one "for granted" as some of us did. Perhaps we did them a misjustice by predicting such large margins of victory. I think I'm gonna be a little more careful with that the rest of the way. wink
