What's the most miles you ever travelled to watch a HS game? I know I ain't gonna win this one....bout' 200mi. or so to Abilene to watch the Bulls in a playoff game a few years ago is about the longest distance I have travelled.... yet. Bet some of you guys out in Alpine or Marfa think that is a walk around the block. I wonder how some of the teams "way out yonder" schedule each other.

Three years ago I went twice to college station to see Sinton in the State semi and championship games. The mileage is about 216 miles from Sinton to College Station.
The record may be held by Odessa Permian fans who I think once had to travel to Texarkana to play a regular season game and the miles from Odessa to Texarkana is about 520 miles. If Perryton ever had to trave to Austin they would be close to that record too according to the Texas mileage guide.

I thought they traveled down that way last year. I remember hearing a lot of people raise heck about it. I'm probably wrong though.

The most traveled team this year in Texas is probably Midland Lee. Two weeks ago they traveld to Port Arthur to play Memorial (about 650 miles), then this past weekend they played a team in Colorado.

Yeah, thats why I remembered it so well. I remember people being so mad last year. It was pretty funny, but kinda made ya sad for them at the same time. It did seem unfair.

I once witnessed a game between the Venus Voltruns, and the Saturn Comets, It was played on the Moon back in 1974, so let's see from NASA to the Moon would be...carry the 2, plus 3.14 squared mutliplied by speed and distance, approximately 7,000,234, miles round trip, yep! that just about does it.

I went from Weslaco to Corpus Christi, then sailed to Galveston and saw La Marque play Galveston Ball in August. About 400 miles one way. And I even got sea sick along the way. :D

Boy....These posts only prove what we've all known for years....the Lone Star State has the most rabid, devoted, and local HS fans on the planet. It just doesn't get any better than HS ball in Texas.

In 2001 I drove from Ingleside to the Everman/Forney game in the metroplex. Can't remember if it was in Bedford or Hurst, but it's about 431 miles each way (according to Rand McNally). Also saw Longview play in Marshall back in 1998. About 427 miles each way. I've also seen loads of games in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and here at Kyle Field when I lived in Ingleside.

it was at that pit called Pennington Field in Bedford ... the only place where they take your parking $ then tell you the lot is full so you have to park on the street

I was with my parents somewhere South of Corpus (forget exactly where, anyway)... I was 16, had my own wheels, left from there, went to my aunt and uncle's in Sealy, then rode with them up to Irving to watch Commerce and Sealy square off...

That's atleast 423.2 miles there (just by starting in Corpus)...

The night Cuero played Sealy in Sealy, we stopped @ KFC on IH 10 to eat. There was a truck pulling a trailer with MIDLAND REBEL BAND on it.. We laughed since we figured someone "borrowed" the trailer for the weekend.. Guess no one borrowed the trailer, it really was on the way to a game in Port Authur. I assume the game was played on Saturday

What if Perryton played Port Isabel or WOS play an El Paso school? That would be quite a ways
