If you were the Head Coach

what would you do in this situation?

I went to a 5a game friday night. (Weslaco vs. Edinburg) Edinburg turned the ball over on downs on the Weslaco 6 yd line with about 1:50 left in the game. The score at the time was 26-21 Edinburg. Weslaco starts to drive and gets to the Edinburg 20 yard line with 10 seconds left. If I were the Head Coach I would take 2 shots to the end zone. Weslaco ran 2 quarterback sneaks and did not score.

Two shots to the endzone is an obvious answer... HOWEVER, what did Weslaco have success with that night... long shots or up the middle runs?

Also, when they're at Edinburg's 20, how much time and time-outs were left for Weslaco?

They had success with the QB sneaks on this drive but that was because the field was spread. When they got to the 20 yd line the field was not as spread as it was during the beginning of the drive. They had 10 seconds left on the clock with no timeouts. The first QB sneak ended up out of bounds and that stopped the clock and they ran another one.

Well, in the coaches defense, he probably thought that the defense was preparing for a pass and spread it out, and then ran the ball in hopes of getting a touchdown.

That is true...

I personally would have ran or passed to the outside...

but hell, if it aint broke, don't fix it...

gotta run a naked boot leg in my opinion if ur gonna run the qb or fake the spike and roll the qb out w/ the option to pass

I saw that play ran one time and it was as if the heavens opened and god ran it himself............it was such a perfect play...............nobody can pull it off like the ice box but these people got close :)
