Tatum had a chance to tie the game in OT, but couldn't get the field goal. Big win for Palestine!

Went to this one tonight. 2 very very good teams out of East Texas, pretty equal in talent. I just want to say, after seeing Stephen Hodge in person, I still believe he is the best player in 3A.

Palestine led 7-0 at the half. Then Tatum broke a couple of long TD runs, Tatum led 21-10 in the 4th quarter, then Palestine got a TD (failed 2 pt conversion). Score 21-16 Tatum. Palestine defense gets a big stop and gets the ball back and drives 66 yards down the field and scores with 38 seconds left (2 pt conversion GOOD). Palestine now leads 24-21, Tatum drives and hits a 39 yard field goal with no time on the clock to send it to OT. In OT Palestine gets a FG, then Tatum gets the ball and missed a short FG. Difference was Palestine gave up some big plays, but made stops when they had to have them in the 4th quarter.

Along with Gilmer, these teams are the teams to beat in East Texas.
