How many 3A players or below can you name that made it to the NFL since 1975? The only ones I know are from my area:
Kyle Clifton - Bridgeport- NY Jets
James Maness- Decatur- Chicago Bears
Billy Joe Tolliver- Boyd - Several NFL Teams
Others?

Not sure about Kevin Haney, but I can think of another small school guy who kinda played a little ball in the NFL.....Eric Dickerson- Sealy- LA Rams.

All the Schobel kids from Columbus-- Matt, Bo and there's one other. Hell, I don't remember.

I ran in the lane beside him in my very first track meet (I thnk it was 73 or 74) )and all I ever saw was his backside!

Artur Wittington - Super Bowl champ with the Raiders under Madden
Dedric Mathis, played with the Colts, XFL too I believe
Clint Finley played with the Chiefs a little last year
A lot of others... forget the names...

the other is Aaron Schobel. One is a DE for Bills, one a TE for Bengals and the other is TE or DE for somebody.

Ben Bronson - Colts and Afl played for Japser when they were 4a

Rodney Thomas - Groveton (2A)
Stanley Richard - Hawkins (2A)
Larry Centers - Tatum (2A)
Tony Jones - Grapeland (2A)
Tony Brackens - Fairfield (3A)
Matt Lepsis - Frisco (3A then)
That's about all I can think of right off hand.

Don't forget Dallas Cowboy Dat from Rockport, they were 3a when he played there. Also Shane Nelson from Mathis, played for Buffalo Bills, one third of the "Bermuda Triangle".

Steve McMichael of Freer who played for UT and went on to be a star defensive lineman at Chicago and played on their great super bowl team in 1985 I believe.

Ladainian Tomlinson( san diego) is originally from Marlin. (3A)He didnt move to waco until his sophomore year in high school

The Detmers were from Mission High Flying Eagles, Tom Landry stadium Mission, Texas. Both played with Philly a while.

I knew about a lot of these small school players, but many I did not know about.....that's the great thing about a site like this....plenty of knowlegeable posters from across this great state.

I know all the Jasper kids were 4A when I was around but Eugene Seale for the Oilers is another Jasper player.
Wasn't Ronny Lott from Atlanta or maybe an Epps from there?

John Ayers, a former Carrizo Springs Wildcat was on the O-Line for the 49ers. He blocked for Joe Montana.

Johnny Holland- Green Bay linebacker and still a coach
Harvey Williams - 49'ers running back
There is a team physician for the 49'ers from Hempstead also but I can't think of his name.
