Diboll High School claimed the Division II State Powerlifting Title Saturday afternoon on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

The Lumberjacks won the state title with just two guys, in fact the pair who won it all were the smallest guys in the meet. Terrance Moore and Terrance Hunt are 1/2 brothers, both are dwarfs.

Moore competed in the 132 lb. class and lifted a combined 1050 lbs in the bench press, dead lift, and squat. Hunt lifted a combined 955 lbs in the 114 lb. weight class. Both Moore and Hunt set state records in the squat with a 440 lb. squat.

Diboll won the overall division II state title with 14 pts, China Spring was 2nd with 12 pts.

Robert Melich from B.C. brought home the state title in his weight division. congrats, Robert.

I was in powerlifting for Carthage this year. I saw Dibol at the Center Powerlifting meet. Dibol had 2 real midgets that are strong and it looks like the won too.
