 which region will represent the state? Region I,II,III, OR IIII. The way I see things, region IIII looks to open some eyes in this state, this year! I'm not gonna name any praticullar teams but, we have some mexican talent down south. What region are you rooting for this year.

hey z motion, you are on a 3-1 vote. You're saying region I. WELL, I guess you haven't seen much of region 4. but don't worry, you'll see lots of region 4's teams in the playoffs.

Your right. I haven't seen any region 4 teams. Too far of a drive...for now...I may get to see some later on.

Is Corpus in Region 4? I have a conference there in October so I can catch a game that weekend if I can find one close. I would really like to see Port Isabel play.

Decatur looks good right now. It seems they have the total package, running, passing and a decent defense.

Yes sir, Corpus is R4. Port Isabel might be playing fairly close, but if they have a home game it's going to be a 2- or 3-hour drive. If you want to stay a little closer to home, Sinton's only about 20 miles outside of Corpus.

Here's Sinton's schedule for the month of October:

@ Orange Grove HS (1-2-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 1 7:30 PM
Goliad HS (0-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 8 7:30 PM
@ Aransas Pass High School (4-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 15 7:30 PM
Mathis HS (0-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 22 7:30 PM
@ Ingleside HS (1-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 29 7:30 PM

Their game against Mathis is kind of a rivalry. The Aransas Pass game, though, should be for the district's top spot.

If you don't mind a little drive, here's Port Isabel's schedule:

@ Hidalgo HS (0-1-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 1 7:30 PM TBA *
Lyford HS (0-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 8 7:30 PM TBA *
@ Raymondville HS (0-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 15 7:30 PM TBA *
La Feria HS (1-1-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 22 7:30 PM TBA *
Rio Hondo HS (0-0-0, 0-0-0) Fri, Oct 29 7:30 PM TBA *

Raymondville's maybe an hour and a half from Corpus. That's usually a pretty good game and it's not too far a drive.

If you want a good ol' fashioned rivalry, Aransas Pass and Ingleside (their high schools are 4 miles apart) play in Ingleside Oct. 8.

you know i would honestly expect too see an even number of teams from each region, seeing as in the playoffs you stay in your region unitl the 4 rnd of the playoffs when you go to the state semi finals and the regional champs square off. that being said and cleared up for ibleedblue, i expect decatur to atleast be in the final game if not take it all.

I will be in Corpus from 10-26 through the 30th. So I could catch either the Sinton @ Ingleside HS or the PI home against Rio Hondo HS. If Ingleside is closer than I might could catch that game and meet up with some of the Sinton posters.

They won it last year, and they'll win at least one of 'em this year. Why won't anyone give Reg. II some love?

Reg. II will have a Division II State Champ! Mark it down.:D

Notice I didn't say WHO it would be.....mwa ha ha ha!!!!

Yeah, Ingleside's only 18 miles to the north of Corpus, the next town past Gregory-Portland.

I am pretty sure the D2 champ will come out of Region 2. The D1 champ will probably come from region 1 or 3.
