im no expert by any means of measure, but in the 3A poll shouldnt decatur be in the top of it somewhere? or is this just an old poll and im writing this to get better typing skills?

DMN doesnt cover Decatur for some reason - so they're not in the poll

thats wierd, because they still cover g'ville which ithought was farther away from the metroplex than decatur but i guess not, oh well i guess we cant have our cake and eat it too...

the dallas morning news does some dumb things. They dont over Sulphur Springs because they said it was too far east yet they still cover Mt. Vernon which is much furter east then SS.

The DMN has always covered Gainesville. I too was shocked they didn't have Decatur in that poll three weeks ago.

I guess they figure that the FWST covers Decatur so they don't have to???

I think it is because the Denton Record Chronicle may be an associate of the DMN. I don't believe there is an affiliated paper in the Decatur area.

And the Denton Record Chronicle has always covered Pilot Point and Celina because they are so close, and therefore they cover all teams in the same distict as PP or Celina. And that is how you get Gainesville.

But that is just my hypothesis...I could be wrong.

they (DMN) should pick districts and cover them. It makes it weird when they pick a team to cover yet they dont cover the other teams in taht district.

For instance...they cover Greenville and that is the only 12-4a team they cover. Doesnt make much sense to me.
