Saw Gilmer/Paris this Saturday. Gilmer really looked good. Defense is better than last year. Very quick.

Maybe, I think Gilmer, Atlanta and Tatum are the top three in the region.

I realize Atlanta is playing 4A schools just as it did last season when it got off to a 1-4 start before reeling off 11 wins in a row.

However, last year the Rabbs were playing the bigger schools close games. This year they're being blown out. Their one win last season was over Paris, 6-2 or something like that.

Gilmer played a Paris team the other day that their coach had said would "match up well" against us. You saw the result.

I won't dispute that Tatum is a regional contender. Tatum beat Gilmer in a 7-on-7 contest a couple of months ago.

Yeah, but there are no dominate teams in the region this year. Atlanta will be there late in the playoffs again.

just dont base their fate on a win over paris....paris is NOT very good. Gilmer is strong though. THey will make a run for it....the regional championship that is

I bet it happens. North Lamar lost LaFontain but they have that little rb that was a soph last year.

I think the subject of this post should be Gilmer not Glimer.

If the Buckeyes were to play Tatum this next week, there is not a doubt in my mind that Gilmer would win by at least 3 touchdowns.
Gilmer had a slower defense last year and contained (that's all you can do) Stephen Hodge. Yes I know he had like 185 rushing yards in that game, but his big runs didn't really hurt us.
Our passing attack is greatly improved this season, and Tatum is a little weak in pass defense. But if everything comes to fruition as it is predicted, we could see Tatum for the first time this season in the Reg. Finals. Wouldn't that be a hoot?;)

And 7 on 7 means nothing now.

I watched this years Atlanta vs Mt Pleasant game on film. Gilmer is much better than Atlanta right at the moment.

How did Atlanta look?

They didn't look anything like last years team. The defense was decent, but the only reason Mt. Pleasant didn't win by 40 was that they kept dropping passes. Their offense is pretty much non existent. Gilmer would beat Atlanta by 17 if they played this week.

Yeah, they lost that 4x100 relay team that had on defense.
