Sinton vs Cuero...

The pollsters etc... will favor Cuero in this one...

I feel we have a home field advantage, but that's about it, Sinton's gunna bring it...

Barbers Hill @ West Columbia should be a great one, Columbia is ranked higher so I would assume they are the favorites

My best 3A mathup would have to be Johnny White of LaVernia against Big Tom Poindexter of Sinton. Poindexter has to be the favorite, but the White is awesome at algebraic functions. Let's see if Poindexter's superior knowledge of trig is enough to overcome White.

Ganesville at Royse City could be a good game, RC's offense has been very good, but I don't see RC slowing up Ganesville too much, so it depends on how much D RC can play

Sinton vs Cuero will be a great game.
Both teams are powerhouses in their own region, and it will be nice to see these two teams match each other.

Sinton was great last year (I saw them beat us (Zapata) 40-6) and this year they are great also. Cuero is unstoppable so far. I'll give it to the home-field team though

Sinton 24 Cuero 28

Hutto will have to wait until basketball season to dominate, if that. The district might be the toughest in the state. Some really good teams will be 0-1 in district after the first night. Rockdale will come out ready to play. Manor and Cameron in a toss up. La Grange over Caldwell in a squeaker, and Giddings over Smithville.

Sinton 24 Cuero 28

cuero went down there and smashed that great sinton team 32-6... now the game is in cuero against a much better cuero team... so 28-24 is a little too close... more like 35-14

I'm predicting a shoot out. UNLESS Cameron got that defense in line. The offense is very good in the passing department as Mullins has at least 5 guys who can catch the ball anywhere on the field. The kid is smart too and knows when to run and when to pass. I for one can't wait til Friday.

I hope we do not end up being ranked #1, but it may happen...

I think Yoakum will be tough, Bellville was hungry I hear and took it out on them, Yoakum gets tougher as they go along...

Hallettsville will be tough as always, buncha corn-fed boys running around there...

Gonzales will come around as well I believe

Luling? Edna? That's another story...

Ha, yah...

One of my cousins played against Stone Cold Steven Austin (Okay, Steve Williams) in the 80's, said he was a mean 'little' dude... Had knee problems then too I believe... Played either DE or DT, I forget...

any team that loses to goliad needs to drop to 2a... i can only hope that we will kill gonzales... they lost to elgin who got smashed by navasota so if gonzales sticks with us then we arent anywhere near the best team in the state...

Is Sinton ranked??? Cuero??? Manor was number 1, correct??? Should be a very interesting weekend. Cuero is in a tough district as well. What are your predictions??? Who will be big school? Div II?

You're from Cuero, you should know that the Gonzales/Cuero rivalry isn't that huge of a measuring stick...

For example...

1998, Gonzales beats Cuero 21-20...

Gonzales doesn't make the playoffs, Cuero goes to state...

I believe Sinton is ranked... Cuero WAS #2 with 6 number one votes (Manor at #1 had 7)....

It's hard to tell, man... If Gonzales makes the playoffs we're going to D2, if they don't, we're going D1... It looks like it'll be Cuero and Yoakum in for sure, waiting on Hallettsville and Gonzales to decide where we go...

The Palestine-Tatum game should be pretty good. Palestine lost to 4A Jacksonville, 23-7. The game was closer than the score.

When someone misspells Royse City, I always misspell their name. Just ask someone from Phorney or Salina.

the only problem with hallettsville is there schedule. it so weak that they cant find out what they need to work on and personell moves. when you are ahead 42-0 at halftime that not good for the kids.they will have to find all this out when dist. starts and that a tough way to do it.
cuero is by far the best team. yoakum has been a strange team to watch this yr. 17 point favorite in there two losses and lose by move than 17. 10 point underdogs in there 2 wins and win by more than 10. edna is having lots of problems but have the talent to beat you. gonzales is playing close games and will play hard . lhave not heard very much about luling .

Manors air attack is dominant and defense pretty sound
if cameron can keep the offense off the field they might pull it out
still i say manor by 10

I think the Graham vs. Abilene Wylie game will be a good one. We had a good game against Graham, even though it was a bit sloppy. Graham is very tough. They hit about as hard as any team we've seen so far, and Abilene Wylie is similar in that aspect. I think I would take Graham in this matchup, but if Wylie can get the passing game rolling, Graham will be in trouble. Wylie just has to stop that dive option.

Johnny Moxen

I agree with Basketweaver, the Wylie Graham game should be a good one. I am going to go with Wylie on this one as it's their homecoming plus having the home field advantage. I'll say Wylie by 14.

Gainesville should BTHO of Royce City. RC has zero defense, Mt. Vernon put up 60 against them in a trackmeet of a football game, RC won by 10. All Gainesville needs to do is key RC's qb and it won't even be close.
