a bill proposed to abolish UIL?

Yes indeed a bill was proposed on Tuesday that would abolish the UIL and replace it with TSAAC(Texas Schoolchildren's Academic and Athletic Commission). The TSAAC would change everything including getting rid of the "no pass no play" rule and allowing all schools to particiapte. Personally I dont like but for more info check out today's Houston Chronicle sports section.

I grumble about the UIL, but I would bet the TSAAC would make us beg to have them back. Why on earth do things turn into such complicated messes? Has common sense taken leave of everything......stupid question, right?
