I would like to coach football one day. What do I have to do? What do i major in in college? Where is a good college to go? What are things I need to know about coaching or becoming one? thanx yall

What are things I need to know about coaching or becoming one? thanx yallMajor in the field you want to teach in the classroom. Lots of good colleges to go to. I am partial to Texas A&M-Commerce. Many teachers and coaches graduate from there. But there are many to choose from. Depends on your financial situation. Will you be playing ball? Any posibilities of a scholarship? If so, then definitley go there. Visit colleges and talk to people there. Good luck.

no, i dont play ball, but i love to teach and love the game of football and would like to use that in coaching. I should take the SAT first haha irght?

One of the best coaches I ever had didn't play football. Had a game leg he got in war. You can do it. Study the game. Good luck to you.

thanx, but what should i do fisrt? try and take my sats and then talk to my counsiler about places i could go to?

I would start working on where I wanted to go as soon as possible. Check when the SAT's are given and go for it. You can do a lot of the investigation on your own, and it will be a good learning process. Colleges have web sites and you can start there. Then I would go to a counselor and tell them your plan and ask them to help you refine it.

For a coaching career, there are several colleges that will prepare you well. Texas A&M Kingsville, Angelo State University, Texas A&M Commerce are among the best in the state for coaching. Of those three, Angelo State probably holds a slight edge. The two majors that come to mind are UT and A&M if you can get in.
