leave early - last time I went to Denton on a Friday (from just E of Dallas) it took me 2:45 !!!!!!! I had a playoff game to work and I was almost late ............

I'll be at my buddy's place in Corinth at 5 so we won't have much traffic to deak with going to Gainesville.

Trust me, my royal blue Port Isabel Tarpons hat will stick out like a sore thumb amongst all the red on Gainesville's side.

Denton is only bad if there is a wreck, traffic never gets that heavy, i do hate I-35's narrow lanes thru denton though

I prolly used to go thru later then the time ur talkin about.. Gainesville students have to drive thru denton at least once a weekend it seems like for something to do.. cuz there is nothing (no movie theatre, no real mall, nothing entertaining) to do in Gainesville, except maybe visit a senior citizen's home

yeah but to get up to gainesville by 7pm-ish from here you have to leave early, during the height of rush hour, and no day is worse that friday ... thats one reason i'm skipping the game tonight

I think traffic will be alright, less people will be traveling north since they know i dont live there anymore

Go up 289 to 380 and cut over to 377. Go up through Pilot Point across the lake and take the first left when you get to Collinsville. Go to the four way stop and hang a right, and you will end up in Gainesville.:D

To get to the stadium in Gainesville.......where do I go? Which exit off 35? If you can give directions from the exit off 35 i'd greatly appreciate it.

its the first exit when u get to Gainesville, u can see the stadium and the lights from I-35, if you miss the right exit, u can exit on to California street then take that up to Dixon street and take a right and end up right at the stadium

Cool, thanks. We'll be there on the Gainesville side sticking out like a sore thumb. I'm the white guy. The other two guys are both hispanic, and the lady that will be with us is the wife of one of the guys. We'll be wearing Port Isabel Tarpons stuff so we'll be easy to spot.

Forget the Gainesville/Forney game, just stop in Whitesboro if they are playing at home. It will be a much more entertaining game anyway. :rolleyes:
