Does the JV and Freshmen run that same complex offense as the Varsity? I would think they would, but at the same time, it is pretty complex...

Yes they do but they use wristbands for play calling instead of hand signals.

Nice job. We had 4 sophmores and the rest freshmen vs. ALL sophmores and juniors. Saw Jaspers freshmen play Orangefield last night and I wish we could have played them. Then it would have been grade level vs. grade level and a totally different outcome. Looks like there is another Marlon Cook in the making.

Well I guess Newton should play a Freshmen team instead of a J.V. team. So it would be fair.

No I am not saying that it wasn't fair. We chose to play as a j.v. and that is that. I am not making excuses, we lost. I know that Newton will always chose to play up rather than down. It will help us in the long run.

I don't know what the kids name is but he is a big round guy that can run pretty well. Looks like a young Marlon Cook.

I didnt say you were making excuses. I just meant that maybe when playing a bigger school Play their freshmen team so that the kids could have some success. Then when playing schools the same size play a JV game.

I don't know what grade the Cook like kid is in. I would think he was a Sophmore but I am not sure.

How old are you? I went to ETBU with a couple of guys from Newton you might know.

The Marlon Cook type kid is JJ Adams, # 9. Very talented not just as a running back, but also as a place kicker, 4/4 on PAT's last night! Probably our varsity RB next year.

Orangefield's freshmen played Jasper? I'm almost afraid to ask, but what was the score?
