Wildcat Stadium in Palestine seats 10,000. The note says "When it was built (1983) it was considered one of the best stadiums in the state. Hosts 2-3 playoff games per year."

this made me proud....my highschool stadium (Stallworth in Baytown) is the largest highschool stadium in houston....:) we sit 16,500....right infront of pasadena memorial's 16,000....u wonder if its ever been sold out?.....go watch the sterling/lee game....it has sold out in the past and if it does not sell out it is darn near it almost every year....kinda like watching a junior college game

Umm, dude, most junior college games draw less than 1,000.

sry i was thinkin small college and typed junior....i'd guess a D2 college game prolly gets a little less than 16,500....i dunno...

Yeah, D2 Texas A&M Kingsville has the highest average attendance in the state and its usually around 14,500 people.

DII crowds of 10K+ are the exception - in fact only 4 schools average 10K+, and only 5 more average 8K+ .....

I read somewhere that this was the smallest domed football stadium.

If you see errors or ommissions all you have to do is send in an update form. Now remember seating capacity is often over estimated by fans. What I need is the butt in the bleacher count. Not how many the newspaper said was there in the 1998 big rival game with all the fans standing around the fence line.

With 980 plus football fields listed I promise there are errors. But I havent found a missing UIL varsity stadium in several months. Many times they are listed but not with the correct name. Or at least not with the name everybody thinks it is.
