You are the Head Coach of a football team and your team is down by 1 with 45 seconds left. You have no timeouts and the other team has 2 timeouts left. They have the ball on your 15 yard line about to score and its 2nd and 1. If they get the first down the game is over because they can just run the time out. What do you do in this situation?

if they have just 45 seconds left and are at your 15 yard line then the game is over if the other team just sits on it

youd be amazed how many teams actually would run one more play....

A few years back, Sinton won a third round playoff game by letting them score and getting the ball back. Of course that was back when you could win on penetrations.

doest matter they run a play on 2nd and 3rd down run the clock down they kick the field goal no time left for you to do nething

the question is asked about the defense...if the offensive coach is smart...yeah..down the ball...but ive been involved in a lot of games where they run one last play.....they have to snap the ball at least one more time and many elect to run a play instead of taking a knee

i dont want to know what the offense does...im asking defensivly..if they run a play what do you do....

I guess I haven't been around many games that this situation came up. I would probably let the offense score...if they were dumb enough to run a play.

You know, 66, I've never heard the complete rundown of that game. Just the end. And that's kinda fuzzy to me.
