on the Western Channel this month. You may want to check your guide and watch them. One of them is the Texican which co-stars Broderick Crawford who was good on tv's Highway Patrol in the 50s.

Probably before your time Yaya but it is Audie. He was born and lived in Texas and went into the army during World War II and was a big war hero. In fact he was the most decorated soldier in World War II. After the war he made many movies mostly westerns and they were generally excellent. He would have been great in the Wyatt Earp based role in Dawn at Soccoro even though the star that played the based Earp role was great.

TCM regurlarly shows the movie based on his autobiography. It is called "To Hell and Back" and was released in 1955. Audie Murphy plays himself in the movie. It is considered a war movie classic.
