Maybe someone who has seen them can tell me... Is the contrasting difference in the color of the helments and the the home jerseys as evident in person as it is in the photo? Or is it just the difference in the way the flash illuminates the helment vs the jersey?

The ones that caught my eye were Decatur and Manor. Tarpons uniforms are actually fancy, compared to the past uniforms believe it or not, they use to be more plain, they were just blue, this is the first year in a long time, I see another color other than blue on them, now there is white strips. :eek: But, it's never been about the unifroms with the Tarpons; it's kinda like Penn State and their uniforms.

I guess maybe the reason I like Decatur’s, is because I always thought putting some black in there somewhere, like the pants, would look nice and now I see it does.:)

hmmm I was told by Feild's dad it was Purvey in the picture but you may be right about the cleats. Who ever it was, I dont know about the gain, but they were definatly able to take the hit and keep on ticking. Whats going on with Purvey this year? I had heard he was having trouble with an injury or something. I hope hes able to get it going again.

he failed a class the first 6-weeks this year, but came back 2 weeks ago and is ready for the playoffs.. last week he only played the 2nd half and had 120 yards and 2 touch downs, again that was in just the 2nd half.. so he looks like he is ready for a key showdown tonight w/ bowie and to take on the playoffs yet again.....

I don't know about the rest of y'all.... but the new uniform trends are too busy for me. Too many lines, almost look like baseball pant piping. That's why I love teams that have tradition. Look at OU, Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and others. Great uniforms that represent their school. Not trying to get a "new look" for the fashion police.
Cuero and Vernon have great uniforms. Simple, yet they've stood the test of time.

I think some are trying to hard. The top 5 best looking unis i have seen from 05 are(not in any order)
1. Cuero - The all white look with lines of green look clean and sharp.
2. Decatur- Unlike last year these new white and blue jerseys show the true colors of the school. The black pants and Black and blue helmets are just right.
3. Bridgeport- How can you not like these? they are old yet show lots of pride!(i am from Decatur so its odd sayin this)
4. Boyd- sorry i couldnt leave out this 2A school, They suit up in all yellow with green numbers. They remind me of Oregon! Yellow helmets too.
5. Gainesville- I ran out of comments to say, but i do like the G logo!
-Worst looking has to be Caldwell. sorry i just hate orange
