3afan -
I've been there and agree it is worth a trip.

For those that haven't - they have a display of memorabilia for each of the 10 State Champions. It's pretty inspiring. The coaches of those teams are recognized at an induction ceremony each April. They also award 1 team award for the state of Texas - The Gordon Wood award. LH won it in for the 2002 season. Gordon Wood was actually in attendance at the induction ceremony to present the award to the team.

It was great!

It is a great place! I actually have an uncle that was inducted into the Hall of Fame some time back. Some time in the 90's, Sonic came out with some football cards for a lot of the inducties, it was really cool. I wish they would do it again.

Man,

In 1934 a 5'11" 175lb senior was a monster. Especially one as gifted as Mr. Haas was.

Hes a very interesting fellow. He was also inducted into the University of Texas Hall of Honor in 1974 for his achievements in Baseball. Talk about drive.:)

Sahen, its worth the trip over there if your interested in sports history, especially if your already in Waco. The last time I was there (Looking for Dave Cambell's Mag) I was told that they were trying to make plans to make even more displays. I dont know if they have done it though. Go take a look. :)
