not to brag or anything but i say either way cuero could be playing for the state title but more than likely they will go division 2...would jasper meet cuero in state if that happened or would they have to play each other before state

nothing against the people from sinton.. just their coach.... only sinton would do something sorry like that... they win the toss and make burnet drive to corpus just so they can kick their ass there... that was probably the sorriest thing ive ever heard.... should have been played in victoria so i could have seen it

If you were Sinton's coach, you were playing Cuero, and you won the toss, would you play 30 minutes away from the visiting team's hometown? Hell no! You're smarter than that. You stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

i guess you misunderstood me... burnet played sinton in corpus... burnet is over 3 hours from victoria and about 5 from corpus... sinton is about 2 hours from victoria so it would have been about even and not so bad for the people from burnet going to the game

I really think this is Cuero's year to win State. I saw a lot of good things in Cuero at the Gp-Gobblas scrimmage.

at the beginning of the year i could have told you cuero would have won state easily but with the loss of cooper at rb and williams at rb and db, cuero has the tough task of resting a de(roy) and playing a sophomore during the middle of games, and the secondary lost one of their best coverage guys and last friday showed how weak the secondary is against a passing team

GP. Im not criticizing you or anything, but you can really say that about any team in the state. I have seen a lot of teams do some really good things, but they all have their tragic flaw. Its just finding it thats the problem in some cases.

What I saw in Cuero is Gp never dominated the scrimmage. We won 1-0. Cuero hung tough against the #2 ranked team in 4A. The strenght in my Gp team is our defense. Cuero was the only team I have seen that could somewhat move the ball against us. No one else has.

Pavillion it is not about picking a stadium that is close to every one it is about doing whatever you have to do to give your team the edge. And last year agianst Burnet Sinton needed an edge but it didnt work, just made them mad.

I know, im just saying though. Its till really early. That was one game and you dont know what will happen and how a team will play in different situations. Im sure Cuero is very good, i dont doubt it. Its just too early to say that your defense is the best because the teams they have played havent been able to move the ball on them.

i thought tds were tied at one apiece and during game situation cuero kicked a fg to win

Well let me tell you about our defense :D No seriously, 5A Carroll (Ranked in Jerry's top 25) averadged around 450 yards per game and could only gain 200 yards on Gp. Sinton got 130 yards and 5A King got 106 yards. I would say Cuero could have gotten around 200 on Gp.

Incorrect. Cuero kicked their FG before live. Gp scored in Live where as Cuero did not.

well, lets compare LAST years stats. Beaumont Central. Made it to the semi finals and lost. Powerhouse 4A. Could run all over anyone. Came in ranked this year in 4A. Had probably around 300-400 yds. per game. Jasper held them to 79. What if they have the best defense. Its too early to tell.

FG was before live

Beaumont Central ranked? No. In fact, most predicted them to come in fourth in that district at best. They have yet to score a point -- a SINGLE point -- this season. Beaumont West Brook beat them 45-0.
I'm pretty sure they squeaked into the playoffs last year in a three-way tie for second in district with WO-S and Nederland. They won two playoff games - they certainly weren't in the semis.
That said, Jasper has a great team this year.

Actually in the GP scrimmage. GP's #1 O scored one TD. Cuero's #1 O scored a field goal. GP's #2 O did not score. Cuero's #2 O scored a TD. Game type scrimmage ended 0-0 tie.
