Barbers Hill is right there...Region 3 is so deep and good this year....it may be a while before they break in.....

so hypothetically.....what happens if Cameron beats Manor?

I'd say if Yoe beats Manor they'll be in the Top 10..they have kinda flew under the radar some...but I'm keeping an eye on them! if Barbers Hill knocks Diboll off I am postive they'd make the reg 3 Top 10 and maybe the state top 25...

My polls always have lots of moving and shaking first 5 weeks or so...and by Week 7 things are pretty much set on how they'll be come playoff time

Reg. IV: Zapata would have Aransas Pass's number all day and twice on Friday night if they were to play this year. dont understand your reasoning behind AP being several spots above them. But I hear ya....lotta movin and shakin in the first 5 weeks :)

I broadcast Canton games last year, love the team, but that is to high. They have beat 3 teams that have a combined one win. A lot of better teams in region II than them or Commerce.

Also if you have Atlanta at 0-2 getting blown out by 2 4A teams where is Carthage who has lost to a 4A team and an undefeated 3A team in very close games.

Here is my top 5 of East Texas on www.lonestarteams.com

Keep in mind teams like Kennedale are not in my coverage area, and we do not split by regions.

Class 3A
1.Tatum (3-0) The Eagles keep proving they are more than just Hodge.
2.Gilmer(3-0) The Buckeyes are not always pretty, but they're effective.
3.Spring Hill (3-0) The Panthers just keep on winning.
4.Palestine (3-0) This team continues to prove they are for real.
5.Daingerfield (2-1) The Tigers do just enough to get the win.

3 teams from District 16-3A in your top ten and i have seen them all and still would pick Carthage as the favorite....They have played tougher teams than the others and will be better prepared I would think.....Should be an exciting race for sure.

I understand the deal with both Carthage and Atlanta...but I try to give teams that win games some credit early.....Canton is better than many people give em credit for...granted they are far from state title contenders....but they did make the area round last year.....give the poll a few more weeks..the cream always rises to the top by Week 7 or so

I did not mean to sound like I was totally trashing your region II picks...I agree Canton is better than what people might think, but to beat 3 teams who have one win between them and that one win came because two of the teams played to me does not warrant being ahead of Carthage or the ones below them. There first real test will not come until district. Van who is in 15-3A with them to me is a better team RIGHT NOW. Your right though the polls will shake out by week 7

don't you think you should give Port Isabel just a little more respect. They should atleast be #3 I mean they made it to the state semis last year and showed rice consolited what REGION FOUR is all about. They aso beat liberty hill for the REGIONAL TITLE.

Last yr doesn't mean a thing?, funny thing u said that cuz most of these ppl wanted Gainesville #1 up there cuz of what they did last yr.

It's okay PI will be up there come playoff time. Heck they are already given credit at txfbratings.com AND THSF. PI should've scheduled a 4A instead of 5A this yr. oh well it was a valiant effort in its OT loss . :p
