I don't profess to know much about this game...but IMO, I was more impressed with Sweetwater!!

Do not kid yourselves...Aledo is VERY good. Lost one game to last years state champs North Crowley but had a chance to win that game.

I noticed that you show Bay City as being "ranked", but you did not show Aledo, or Canadian as being ranked. I am pretty sure Canadian is ranked in the top ten in 2A, but I am not posistive about Aledo.

Canadian was 2A #8.

Aledo wasn't ranked and got no votes last week either.

I'm putting in a plug for Palestine. They lost the #1 recruit in the nation from last year's team but they are a battle-tested unit coming out of 4A where their district opponents included Jacksonville, Hallsville, Kilgore, Texarkana Texas High. They could be a team to challenge in D1 and if they can get by rival Jacksonville (I think they play next Fri.), could run the table in the regular season.

Watch out for Canyon, Marlin, Sweetwater, Snyder, Cuero and La Vernia just to name a few. 3a is tough for sure.

Yes, canyon is 3-0 and trying to stay under the radar. So watchout for them.

What happened to the Lions? I haven't seen.

The Lions have offensive production problems right now. In addition the special teams gave up 14 points to Wichita Falls. The Qb fumbled 8 times and the HB fumbled 1 time. The line looks slow and is not making blocks. The defense has kept this team in every game. It may take three or four weeks for this team to get their offense going, which may be too late, who knows. I have seen them play now three times and they are not a top 10 team because of the offense. Maybe they will get it together, but maybe they won't.
